SPEAKER BIO:
Marco Merens is the Chief of ICAO’s Implementation Support Section of the Air Navigation Bureau. As an Aeronautical Engineer, he started his career at Airbus in Toulouse, working on the design of avionic and flight control systems for the A340 and A380. He returned to Luxembourg to join the CAA, where he held various positions from the Head of the Airworthiness Department to the Manager of the CAA's Occurrence Reporting and Analysis System. His passion for technology and innovation in aviation, together with how technology can keep us safe in aviation has led him on an exciting journey to the future of aviation. His ever-expanding interest and experiments in Innovation and Artificial Intelligence have involved him in various thought-provoking projects.
