Importance
of Establishing Committees Annex 14 — Aerodromes, Volume I — Aerodrome Design and
Operations requires that wildlife strike hazards on, or in the
vicinity of, an aerodrome to be assessed through the establishment of
national procedures and an ongoing evaluation of wildlife hazards by
competent personnel. The establishment of a national committee, covered
in Airport Services Manual,
Part 3 — Wildlife Control and Reduction (Doc 9137), is
ideally suited to addressing this task. Such committees are popular forums to
gain and exchange information on research and development in airport wildlife
