Major Projects in 2019
A major backbone infrastructure renewal project was completed during the year. This included new Next Generation Firewalls and switches, new Storage Arrays and replacement of most Windows Servers. The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) upgrade project was completed early in 2019 and the operational environment is live on the latest version of the software since April 2019.
A new E-voting system was successfully used at A40, where the Events Mobile App, with a complete back-end integration for meeting documents, schedules and notifications, was used for the first time. The App was used by more than 60% of A40 participants, resulting in significant efficiencies and enhancements to user experience.
New system developments were concluded for the Technical Cooperation Bureau (TCB), where the first release of its Business Process Management Solution (BPMS) was completed. The Global Aviation Training Office (GAT) also had its training platform, the TRAINAIR PLUS Electronic Management System (TPeMS) revamped. The development of the first phase of the CORSIA Central Registry (CCR) tool was completed. Major upgrades or re developments were also carried out on several business applications, such as the FOAT - Foreign Operator Applications Tool, as well as the Corporate Management and Reporting Tool (CMRT) platform.
