Enhancing the efficiency of language services delivery
The business model of increasing the number of staff translators who are also qualified interpreters proved its worth by enhancing efficiency and flexibility in addressing unprecedented and time-sensitive demands for interpretation and translation services during the COVID-19 crisis. Furthermore, the requirement to telework led to creative arrangements for managing and providing language and publication services. In this regard, remote interpreting was the single most complex and innovative achievement, a successful outcome of seamless ICAO-wide collaboration.
