The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), in partnership with the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and other ICAO’s Runway Safety Programme Partners invites its Member States and International Organizations to the Second Middle East Regional Runway Safety Seminar (MID-RRSS/2), 2-4 June 2014, Dubai, UAE.
The event is hosted by the UAE GCAA and sponsored by Dubai Airports supported by Emirates Airline and Etihad Airways. There is an online registration facility available at www.research.net/s/ICAORRSS2 and the Seminar is free of charge.

ICAO and its Runway Safety Partners are committed to presenting Regional Runway Safety Seminars (RRSSs) across the globe to promote the establishment of Runway Safety Teams (RSTs) as a means of addressing runway safety issues. This Regional event will bring together experts from diverse professional domains to promote a multidisciplinary approach to improve runway safety outcomes in the Middle East.
The runway safety topics presented during the Seminar will include prevention of Runway Excursions, prevention of Runway Incursions and runway safety through Advances in Technology as well as a Local Runway Safety Team and Aerodrome Certification Workshops. This event presents an outstanding opportunity to hear from, meet and network with a large number of runway safety experts from various backgrounds, organisations, disciplines and countries.
Approximately 200 attendees are expected from the UAE and Middle East states including representatives from ICAO, FAA, IATA, ACI, Manufacturers (Boeing and Airbus), Civil Aviation Authorities, Air Navigation Service Providers, Airports, Airlines and Government Agencies.
