​Field Project Personnel Roster

ICAO's Field Project Personnel Section (FPS) plays a critical role in supporting States' capacity development and implementation support needs by providing civil aviation experts in advisory and operational roles. This helps them achieve compliance with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and advances both ICAO's strategic goals and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).


ICAO maintains a roster of over 6,000 experts across various civil aviation fields who support global aviation projects. FPS ensures these experts are carefully recruited and deployed to meet the needs of States while managing their contracts to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

The Roster of Experts includes leading professionals from a wide range of civil aviation fields, such as personnel licensing, air navigation services, flight operations, airworthiness, facilitation, air traffic services, aerodrome operations, aeronautical information services, and more.

After applying, your information will be assessed based on the details you provided in the application form. You will be placed in the roster under your areas of speciality(ies) if considered suitable.  It is important to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the information submitted for ease of assessment.

Employment Conditions

Opportunities are available for short, intermediate, and long-term assignments, with options for onsite, remote, and hybrid work arrangements. The remuneration package has competitive pay and benefits, with salaries paid on the basis of a worldwide scale, dependency allowance and the cost of living at the duty station.


Additionally, your safety and security are ensured under the umbrella of the United Nations Security Management System.
