The 2024 EASPG Frequency Management Group Coordination Meeting (FMG CM 2024) combined with the Twenty-Fifth Meeting of the Network Manager Radio Frequency Function (RAFT/25) was held in the Premises of the Federal Roads Office in Bern, Szwitzerland in a hybrid format from 14 to 16 May 2024.

The evolution and challenges related to aviation frequency management were discussed, namely the forthcoming planned use of Space-Based VHF.
Recognizing with concern the impact of global navigation satellite system (GNSS) Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) on aviation safety, the meeting was also briefed with the latest ICAO recommendations in that respect.
In addition, the meeting was provided with a demonstration of the forthcoming upgrade to the SAFIRE (Spectrum and Frequency Information Resourced) web-based application, developed by EUROCONTROL.
The Meeting was attended by 88 Participants from 36 States and 7 International Organisations.
The next FMG/RAFT meeting will take place from 15 to 18 October 2024 in the ICAO EUR/NAT premises in Paris.
