| Armand Kelly Health, Safety and Sustainability Officer, Aruba Airport Authority N.V Armand Kelly's passion is to be part of sustainable solutions that will benefit the world for future generations to come. He is a bachelor's student in Sustainable Island Solutions at the University of Aruba. During his study he has been part of a team that has done research on sustainable aviation between Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao in collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure. In April 2021 he started working as a Health, Safety and Sustainability Officer at Aruba Airport Authority. Where he is given a unique opportunity to be part of a team to plan and implement sustainable solutions for airports. Uniting countries while having the least impact as reasonably possible on our fragile environment.

Bobby Sethi
Cranfield University
| Dr. Bobby Sethi is the Deputy Director of Research for the Cranfield University, School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing. He is an Associate Professor in Gas Turbine Combustion and Environmental Impact as well as the Leader of the Cranfield University Technoeconomic Environmental Risk Assessment (TERA) for civil aviation in the Propulsion Engineering Centre. He is also a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. His research is focussed on investigating the technical and economic benefits, environmental impact and risks associated with novel, low emissions, more efficient propulsion technologies and asset management strategies for civil aviation. He is the coordinator of the ongoing EU H2020 ENABLEH2 project and has made significant contributions to a number of past EU H2020 and Framework Program projects including ULTIMATE, LEMCOTEC, CLEAN SKY 1 (SGO-ITD and TE), CLEAN SKY 2 (DEMOS), DREAM, NEWAC, VITAL and VIVACE. He has co-authored 34 journal and 75+ conference papers and has supervised 23 PhD,130+ MSc students and several Nuffield students.

Brandon Van Schaik Falcon Electric Aviation
| Brandon van Schaik is a Master student in Sustainable Energy Technology at the Eindhoven University of Technology who is strongly motivated by challenges. He has an interest for innovative projects with societal impact. He co-founded Falcon Electric Aviation in October 2018 to show that electric aviation is not only technically feasible but can also be a valid business case. He worked as team leader for 2.5 years and is currently an advisor of the board. He has continued his endeavor into sustainable aviation by completing a research project on sustainable travel connections between the Dutch Caribbean islands of Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao in collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure. Following this project, he continued this work under the name of team FlyABC for the main airports in the Netherlands. Currently he is studying the safety risks of electric aircraft together with the Royal Netherlands Aerospace Centre in the aforementioned team. He dreams of spreading his enthusiasm about sustainable aviation to as many stakeholders to push the technology forwards. |
Chandelle O'Neil ICSE
| "They are Chandelle O'Neil (they/them) and are from Trinidad and Tobago. They are a sustainable energy specialist and human rights advocate. They went to university and worked in Canada where they obtained their Bachelor's of Engineering in mechanical engineering (with distinction) specialised in sustainable energy systems design. Their background as a mechanical engineer comes from the fact they have always been good at math and science, with a particular fondness for physics. Along with being a Global Shaper with the Port-of- Spain Hub and working with CAISO Sex and Gender Justice, they have their own startup, Mawu Energy that supports energy efficiency, sustainable design and resource management in residential and commercial buildings/ properties-currently building an app with The Bloom Project. They were a Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) Young Caribbean Water Entrepreneurs Shark Tank Competition Finalist in December 2020 They are a Climate Reality Leader and Youth Climate Expert, focusing on the intersection of gender and climate change, with Unite for Climate Action. They are currently enrolled in their Global Leadership post-graduate Diploma with the UN Mandated University for Peace as well as an ambassador with HEY (Healthy and Environmentally-Friendly Youth) Campaign and the World Literacy Foundation. They volunteer with the Fondes Amandes Reforestation project, led by women, in their community (over the hill behind my house) planting trees, maintaining fire trails and doing river clean-ups. They are also a member of YOUNGO, which provided their badge for COP26. They are also the National Director to TT with the International Student Environmental Coalition." |
Farai Chireshe WWF South Africa
| Farai Chireshe is an experienced chemical engineer, researcher, and renewable energy professional. Driven by a passion for the environment and sustainability, he takes pride in developing renewable energy systems as well as low carbon fuels and technologies. Farai holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering and is currently working on techno economic as well as socio-economic assessments of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production, to support alternative fuel market and policy development in Africa. Farai is also a Youth Energy Fellow for the UN High Level Climate Action Champions. |
Magdalena Korpal, Carbon Trade eXchange (CTX)
| Magdalena developed her skills and understanding of the aviation industry through first-hand experiences in project management, procurement, and aviation analysis while working for the Luxaviation Group, one of the of the largest business aviation companies in the world. In her role, she coordinated Group Security Department for fourteen different offices from around the world, including the Middle East, Europe, South Africa, and Australia. Since 2018 she was actively involved in the launched the STARS program (Standards and Training for Aviation Responsibility and Sustainability) that has been sponsored by European Business Aviation Association (EBAA). Highlighting her commitment to sustainable aviation development, she was nominated to become the chairperson of the STARS environmental working group. In 2019 Magdalena started her own company Lumino MK in Luxembourg to deliver trainings and consultancy on aviation sustainability and security to business aviation operators. Since 2020 she is working with Carbon Trade Exchange (CTX) as a Business Development Manager and Sustainable Aviation Specialist. At CTX Magdalena was heavily involved in establishing the strategic partnership between CTX and International Business Aviation Council (IBAC). The partnership has been officially launched in September 2021, establishing CTX as a preferred offsetting platform for more than 18000 business aviation operators. Magdalena continues her work by helping aviation clients establish their offsetting strategy. Magdalena received her master’s degree in International Project Management from the Military University of Technology in Warsaw. She speaks Polish, English, German and Russian. She obtain a glider licence in 2011 and has been passionate about aviation since then. |
Maï Murray, Montréal International
| Maï Murray holds a bachelor's degree in International Relations and a master’s degree in Political Science from the Université de Montréal. She is the Director, Business Development - International Organizations at Montréal International, the international economic promotion agency of Greater Montréal. Her work focuses on attracting headquarters and offices of international organizations and supporting the community of over 65 international organizations in Montréal. Maï Murray served from 2018 to 2021 on the Board of Directors of Chantiers jeunesse, a non-profit organization fostering the development of young, active, and socially engaged citizens.

Maria Manoli IASL
| Maria Manoli is a doctoral candidate and the Executive Director at the Institute of Air and Space Law (IASL) of McGill University's Faculty of Law. Prior to her doctoral studies, she obtained a LL.M. in Air and Space Law from the IASL. She also holds a LL.M. in Public International Law and a LL.M. in Civil Law from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she also completed her undergraduate degree in Law. Maria has published and presented her research extensively in the fields of aviation and space law, and she has worked for several governmental and intergovernmental organizations, including for Single European Sky Unit of European Commission's DG MOVE and for the Permanent Representation of Greece at the International Civil Aviation Organization. She has often participated in international research projects in aviation and space law, such as in research projects of the Hague Academy of International Law. She is a lawyer with the Athens Bar Association of Greece. Maria is the 2021 IAWA scholarship recipient for McGill University. |
Megan Tran Student Energy
| Megan is the Space for Youth Coordinator at Student Energy where she supports meaningful youth engagement within organizations to facilitate equitable dialogue and collaboration between young people and decision-makers. Prior to Student Energy, she has worked with various organizations that align with her passions for sustainability, social justice, and youth empowerment. Her experience includes supporting regional businesses in adopting more sustainable practices and working on a national project that explored how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected young Canadians living in urban centres. Currently, Megan is involved with a variety of grassroots non-profits that aim to advance equity and justice in society and is a member of the Toronto Asia Pacific Youth Council at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada. She holds an iBA in International Studies from Glendon, York University.

Pericles Pilidis ISABE
| Pericles Pilidis did his studies in Glasgow University where he completed a PhD in Gas Turbine Performance and, subsequently, a MBA. He was employed in Caledonian Airmotive, a civil aircraft engine overhaul company and member of the British Caledonian Group. Subsequently he went Cranfield where for more than three decades has been active in gas turbines for air, land and sea applications. He currently is Professor in Gas Turbine Performance and Director of the Thermal Power MSc within the Thermal Power & Propulsion Centre that comprises 250+ staff and postgraduates deeply engaged in international research, testing and education. He currently is the UK representative of ISABE and has been Vice President of this global organisation; He is Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society. One of his primary interests is the development of environmentally sound power and propulsion systems. |
Rebecca Meldrum Independant
| Rebecca is a highly experienced business and programme leader who is passionate about aviation, sustainability, and how we can work together as an industry to deliver the innovation and infrastructure needed to reach our challenging Net Zero goals. An Aerospace Engineer and EASA approved expert in continuing airworthiness and operational management, Rebecca has 20 years of experience designing and delivering innovative services that optimise both cost and availability, while driving many circular principles - under both civil and military certification standards. She began her career at BAE Systems designing and delivering one of the earliest aircraft availability services for the UK Tornado fleet. She then moved to Panavia in Germany to serve as an industry representative for the Tornado to NATO, working closely with the teams at both Airbus and Leonardo. Based in Switzerland since 2014 she worked in the heart of the Swiss aviation industry; first with Swiss manufacturer Pilatus Aircraft, later moving to RUAG to undertake a transformation project establishing a new line of engine maintenance services. In the last years she has stepped out of the major aviation companies. Focused on understanding how the latest in digital technology and fresh innovation from tech start-ups can be applied to aviation, particularly in the field of sustainability. The primary goals being to accelerate the transition to Net Zero, to increase transparency, and to facilitate cross industry collaboration. Currently working on an independent basis, she is supporting organisations in establishing the frameworks, principles, and tools needed to drive innovation, while striving to make the transition to Net Zero both economically and operationally beneficial for the industry. |
Sandrine Gressard, Flyee Women's Aviation Leadership Centre Inc.
| Sandrine has spent half her career as an entrepreneur and the other as an "intrapreneur". Since 2003, she has founded 4 companies, including one that manages an airport and two in the field of executive training and coaching. Between 2001 and 2017, she held management positions in sales, marketing and customer service with Bombardier Aerospace, ICAO and Lockheed Martin, among others.
Sandrine is a mom, an airplane and glider pilot and co-owner of an airport. She is also the author of the book "Dirigeons comme des femmes" published in April 2021 by Bookboon. The cause of women pilots is so dear to her heart that she sits on the Board of Directors of the Montreal Chapter of the Ninety-Nines (The International Organization of Women Pilots started by Amelia Earhart in 1929), she is the Success Instigator at Girls Go Fly and she founded Flyee Women's Aviation Leadership Centre here in Montreal. She defines herself as a Quebecer at heart and a citizen of the world having lived in 7 countries. |
Thomas Driessen FlyABC

Thomas Driessen is a final-year BSc. Student in Applied Physics at the Eindhoven University of Technology. He will continue his studies with a master programme in Sustainable Energy Technologies. Furthermore, Thomas is a co-founder of team FlyABC, a team that started with seven students located all over the globe, with the collective goal to form a creative master plan for making aviation sustainable on the ABC Islands. Thomas is highly passionate on having a positive impact on the sustainable energy transition. As sustainable energy technologies will be the most important research topic for upcoming years according to him. Therefor contributing to research in sustainable aviation, gives him experience and knowledge for possible future researches in sustainability.

Tim Johnson ICSA
| Tim is the Director of the UK-based Aviation Environment Federation (AEF), an NGO campaigning on aviation's impacts for people and the environment. He is a lead representative for the International Coalition for Sustainable Aviation (ICSA) at the UN's International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), where he has co-led CAEP's expert group responsible for developing the emission unit eligibility criteria for CORSIA, and continues to lead the support group for ICAO's carbon emissions calculator. In the UK, he is a member of the Department for Transport's newly created Jet Zero Council.
