TRAINAIR PLUS Global Symposium
Singapore, 25 to 28 September 2012
“How to prepare tomorrow’s aviation workforce with today’s training tools”
ICAO is pleased to invite your Government/Organization to participate in the first TRAINAIR PLUS Global Symposium which will be held in Singapore, from 25 to 28 September 2012.
The Symposium, which will be free of charge, is being convened by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and will be hosted by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and the Singapore Aviation Academy.
Competent personnel are essential to establish and manage safe air transportation systems, and training plays a critical role in achieving safety objective. ICAO is committed to supporting Member States in implementing high quality standards in civil aviation training, and using the latest available training technology and tools. The TRAINAIR PLUS Programme is a key element in ICAO’s strategy to achieve this goal.
The theme of the first TRAINAIR PLUS Symposium will be “How to prepare tomorrow’s aviation workforce with today’s training tools”.
The objectives of the symposium are:
- Inform participants of the latest trends, techniques and tools currently available in aviation training worldwide;
- Provide an international forum to exchange best practices and experiences in aviation training;
- Increase awareness of the TRAINAIR PLUS Programme;
- Establish effective communication links at an international level in the field of training between ICAO and States, training organizations, regional organizations, operators and the industry.
The Symposium will be of particular interest to representatives of civil aviation authorities (CAAs), air navigation services providers (ANSPs), manufacturers, civil aviation training centres, airlines and other operators, maintenance organizations and airport operators.
