Safety & Security and General Services Section

​The Safety & Security and General Services Section (SSG) of the Bureau of Administrative Services is responsible for the efficient management of the provision of Safety and Security Services for the whole of the organization, as well as General Support Services. It is composed of Safety & Security, the Building and General Service and Facilities Management (GFM) Unit and the Property Control and Logistics (PCL) Unit.

 

Core Section Activities include:

  • Developing Safety and Security Administrative Instructions, standards and procedures and providing advice on all matters related to safety and security at ICAO Headquarters, Regional Offices, as well as provide support to UN System Agencies in Canada. 

  • Management office space & facilities for Headquarters and Regional Offices

  • Management and liaison with PSPC (Public Services and Procurement Canada) regarding facilities, operations and maintenance costs, joint cost‐sharing projects as well as major repairs of the ICAO premises

  • Management of leases for resident delegations and other rental operations

  • Management of asset receiving, asset management, and Inventory database for all of ICAO HQ and Regional Offices; Mail, diplomatic pouch and management of the Commissariat.
