The Secretary General undertook a mission to the Republic of Korea from 10 to 13 August 2016. Invited by the Government, she met with Mr. Kang Hoin, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Cho Tae-yul, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Ambassador Jongmoon Choi, Deputy Minister for Multilateral and Global Affairs. From the aviation industry, she met Mr. Chang-Hoon Chi, President of Korean Air, Mr. Sung Il-Hwan President and CEO of Korea Airport Corporation (pictured), and Dr. Il-Young Chung President and CEO of Incheon Airport. She also visited the Jeju Aerospace Museum and the Jeongseok Aerodrome, and gave a special lecture on ICAO’s Next Generation of Aviation Professionals programme to students at the Incheon Airport Aviation Academy.
