St Malo (France) 29 and 30 January 2015 - On 29 and 30 January 2015 the second meeting of directors of the eight Aviation Security Training Centres (ASTCs) located in the EUR region was conducted in St. Malo following the invitation of the ASTC Toulouse. Focus was given to follow up on meeting conclusions of the first ASTC Directors meeting conducted in December 2013, evaluate the level of implementation and strengthen joint positions. New challenges arising from a Training Policy amendment in ICAO created lively discussions which found expression in a range of new conclusions. The second Regional ASTC Directors meeting proved its value; a coordinated regional input for the global ASTC Directors meeting was prepared to be further discussed in Nairobi in May 2015.
The unanimous election of Christophe Boquen, ASTC Director Toulouse, as vice chairman, completed the team of chairs formed by Prof Galyna Suslova, ASTC Kyiv NAU and Christophe Boquen, ASTC Toulouse.
