The Twenty-Third Meeting of the Data Management Group (DMG/23) was held in Algiers, Algeria from 13 to 15 March 2018.
Fourteen participants from eight States and ICAO continued progress on the implementation of special air-reports, OPMET data requirements, and exchanging OPMET data in the ICAO Meteorological Information Exchange Model (IWXXM) format, as recommended in Amendment 77 of Annex 3.
In addition, the group provided information related to measuring the implementation of Aviation System Block Upgrade (ASBU) Block 0 - AMET, which will be reflected in Volume III of the electronic Air Navigation Plan and correlated to the air navigation deficiencies database in the EUR Region. Furthermore, progress made on the Regional OPMET Data Catalogue will allow States to request OPMET data for operational needs more efficiently.
