The Data Management Group (DMG) of the Meteorology Group (METG) conducted DMG/30 through series of 8 video conference calls on 10 June 2020 and 15-18 June 2020. Participants from Algeria, Austria, Belgium, France, Romania, Russian Federation, United Kingdom and the United States (as observer) contributed to the following in preparation for METG/30:
- proposal for SIGMET on Tropical Cyclone requirements in the ICAO EUR Region;
- update to the EUR Air Navigation Plan Volume III based on recent OPMET monitoring;
- progress on the implementation of Regional OPMET Centre (ROC) Moscow;
- proposed updates to guidance material such as EUR Doc 014 and 018;
- IWXXM implementation plan guided by the Regional OPMET Centres; and
- proposal to extend translation agreements until November 2021 for States not yet in a position to implement IWXXM noting that States should be urged to continue their implementation efforts.
