The ICAO EUR/NAT Regional Office, in coordination with the Implementation Support and Development – Security (ISD-SEC) section of ICAO Headquarters, organized two ICAO Aviation Security training courses for national experts of Montenegro on a cost recovery basis.
The two courses were delivered by ICAO-certified Aviation Security instructors on-site at Podgorica Airport from 23 May to 04 June 2022.
The objective of the first training course ICAO Aviation Security (AVSEC) Instructors delivered from 23 to 29 May 2022 was to enable the participants to identify the requirements for aviation security instructors based on the Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) of Annex 17, understand the role of AVSEC Instructors and acquire competencies and skills necessary to deliver Aviation Security training.
The second training course, ICAO Crisis Management Workshop was conducted from 30 May to 04 June 2022. This course aimed at enabling national experts involved in response to Acts of Unlawful Interference to understand the Crisis Management Concept, the roles of relevant national entities responsible for managing crises and drafting National Crisis Management Plans as well as importance of periodic testing of the plans and the provision of resources. The national experts involved in the course benefited from practical exercises and games designed to practice teamwork in crisis situations.
