Welcome to the website of the pre-Conference Symposium to be held in conjunction with the Conference on the Economics of Airports and Air Navigation Services (CEANS) and which will take place in Montréal on Sunday, 14 September 2008.
The theme for the Symposium is “Challenges for Airports and Air Navigation Services” and eminent leaders in the aviation industry have been invited to lead stimulating discussions. The intent of the Symposium is to set the scene and to focus on some key issues to be addressed by CEANS, enabling delegates, in an informal setting, to obtain information and clarification regarding these issues.
The Symposium will serve as an integral building block for the discussions of CEANS but will procedurally be conducted as an independent event.
Senior government policy makers, representatives from airports and air navigation services, industry executives, aviation consultants and academics from around the world are all welcome to participate in this Symposium. Participants registering for this event, other than those from Contracting States and invited Organizations, will also be allowed to follow the Conference proceedings from the Public Gallery. Interpretation services will be available in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.
Participants will have valuable opportunities to:
- Learn about the challenging changes taking place in the aviation industry;
- Share the knowledge and experiences of experts on topical issues to be considered by CEANS;
- Establish professional contacts with decision makers drawn from ICAO’s 190 Contracting States and the civil aviation industry.
