Building upon the success of previous ICAO Seminars on Green Airports held in 2017 and 2019, the 2021 ICAO Seminar on Green Airports will provide an update on the progress achieved thus far and addressed new and emerging innovations in the field of airport management and environmental best practices.
The 2021 ICAO Seminar on Green Airports will cover a diverse range of activities involved in the planning and management of a "green airport" including climate change mitigation and adaptation, clean energy transition, airport infrastructure requirements to produce, transport and supply alternative energy sources at airports, financing of environmental projects and circular economy, and latest innovations enabling the growing ambitions of airports in terms of sustainability. The Seminar will also showcase ambitious projects of airports throughout the world with panellists discussing the next steps in global environmental policy and strategy.
