Celebrating Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority's École de Formation achievement of TRAINAIR PLUS membership

Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority’s École de Formation was established in 2016 in order to provide aviation training for civil aviation personnel of Cameroon, and in July of this year, ICAO conducted a TRAINAIR PLUS assessment to evaluate its compliance with the requirements of the TRAINAIR PLUS Programme.

On the sidelines of ICAO’s 40th Assembly, and in honour of the training centre’s successful completion of the assessment process and subsequent recognition as a TRAINAIR PLUS Associate Member, a plaque presentation ceremony was hosted by ICAO Secretary General Dr. Fang Liu. In the presence of the Minister of Transport of Cameroon, Mr. Jean Ernest Masséna Ngalle Bibehe, Dr. Liu presented an Associate Membership plaque to the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Cameroon, Mrs. Paule Assoumou Koki.

To become a TRAINAIR PLUS Associate Member, a training organization must demonstrate, amongst other things, the implementation of a robust quality management system and the establishment of a comprehensive Training and Procedures Manual.

The training centre is now encouraged to actively participate in the TRAINAIR PLUS Programme, which entails the development of Standardized Training Packages (STPs), as well as the delivery of ICAO Courses to support their States’ SARPs compliance efforts.
