The Field Personnel Section (FPS) acts as a strategic human resource business partner in the CDI bureau's implementation projects. One of FPS's main goals is to support Member States in their projects by recruiting and deploying senior civil aviation experts in advisory and operational roles, helping States achieve compliance with ICAO’s standards and recommended practices (SARPs).
FPS also enables the advancement of the overall strategic objective of ICAO and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
FPS maintains a Roaster of Experts which contains senior aviation professionals across 93 aviation fields. These fields include but are not limited to Aerodrome Safety and Certification, Communication, Navigation and Surveillance, Air Transport Economics, and Flight Safety and Safety Management.
