The Implementation Planning and Support Section - Air Navigation (IMP-AN) within the Air Navigation Bureau (ANB) is responsible for developing procedures and processes for the implementation of the Global Air Navigation Plan (GANP) including its Aviation System Block Upgrades (ASBUs), and the Global Aviation Safety Plan (GASP). The Section in coordination with the ICAO regional offices also provides technical expertise on initiatives and their consequential impacts to Regional and/or National Air Navigation Plans to support implementation of operational improvements.
The IMP-AN section coordinates and maintains liaison with other sections and Bureaus/Offices of ICAO to identify regional/local needs, and provides guidance and advice to Contracting States on the identification of optimal solutions for Air Navigation-related matters.
