The North Atlantic Systems Planning Group (NAT SPG) was established in 1965 by the Council of ICAO as the first regional planning group. From its Terms of Reference the NAT SPG shall continuously study, monitor and evaluate the Air Navigation systems in the light of changing traffic characteristics, technological advances and updated traffic forecasts.
