The 8th meeting of the ICAO EASPG Regional Expert Safety Group (EASPG RESG/08) combined with the 7th meeting of the Regional Aviation Safety Plan Working Group (RESG RASP WG/07) was held in Sofia Bulgaria from 25 to27 September 2024 thanks to the invitation of Directorate General "Civil Aviation Administration" of Bulgaria and Bulgarian Air Traffic Services Authority (BULATSA).
The groups discussed safety outcomes of the ICAO Fourteenth Air Navigation Conference and forecasted update of the ICAO Global Air Safety Plan (GASP) founding the basis to update European Regional Aviation Safety Plan (EUR RASP) in 2025 (to cover 2026-2028 period). The meeting reviewed the plans to conduct EUR RASP 2024 survey and safety implementation activities related to systemic safety issues, runway safety and emerging safety issues. Representatives from States, regional and international Organizations and Industry (65 participants from 22 States, industry and 7 International/Regional Organizations) attended the working sessions.
