Health Guidelines

​Pursuant to the implementation of the International Health Regulations (IHR), the WHO has set the Ebola virus disease as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) but does not recommend any travel warnings and travel ban.

 

In order to guard against Ebola virus disease as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern, the Indonesian Ministry of Health provide direction as follows:

 

  • On a continuous basis, it is expected that all parties keep abreast of information and data through the WHO website (www.who.int) to assess the current situation of the disease.
  • Delegations and from countries infected with Ebola virus disease (West Africa, Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria) are expected to bring a health certificate from a local doctor in country of origin and with no history of contact with a person infected with Ebola virus disease or dead animals within the last 21 days.
  • If there is a concern, on arrival at the airport in Indonesia, Port Health Office will conduct inspections and provide information related to preparedness for Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus (MERS-CoV) and Ebola Virus disease.
  • While traveling and when you arrive in Indonesia, if you develop a fever and Ebola virus symptoms yourself, promptly inform airline personnel and Indonesian Airport Authority and Immediately report to Health Outbreaks Prevention line.

  • Service health quarantine is implemented by Port Health Office or Kantor Kesehatan Pelabuhan (KKP) in all international airports in Indonesia.

Inoculation or health certificate from a local doctor in country of origin is recommended but not mandatory.
