The event will be conducted in English. Delegates are responsible for arranging their own translation services for bilateral negotiation meetings, if needed.
English and Malay are widely spoken in Malaysia.
Health services
A medical bay will be made available at the event venue should delegates require immediate medical attention. However, in case of emergency medical care, it is advisable for delegates to have a valid travel/health insurance coverage for the duration of their stay in Malaysia.

Currency and exchange rate
The currency in Malaysia is the Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). Currency exchange services are available at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
Payment cards, such as credit cards and debit cards, are widely accepted in Malaysia. Please note that some stalls or smaller shops prefer cash payment in Malaysian Ringgit.

In October, the west coast temperatures average around 29°C (84.2°F), while Kuala Lumpur is slightly cooler at 27°C (80.6°F).
Time zone
Malaysian Standard Time (MST) is the official time for Malaysia which is Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) plus eight hours (UTC+8).
Electricity supply
In Malaysia, power plugs and sockets (outlets) of type G (rectangular three-pin plug) are used. The standard voltage is 240 volts at a frequency of 50 Hz. Delegates from other countries with different electricity standards will need a plug adapter to use their devices in Malaysia.
International dialing code
Worldwide direct connections are available, using the international code or telephone operator as necessary. From outside Malaysia, dial +60 followed by the area code (for landline numbers) and the required number.
Mobile telephone services are quite efficient in Malaysia. Some of the main mobile telephone service providers are: Maxis, Celcom, Digi and U-Mobile. Mobile telephone service providers also provide gateway to internet using 4G and 5G.
Mobile phone SIM cards are easily available at the range of USD3-USD10. Delegates should note that registration is required for activation.
