The first of a new generation of aviation security training programmes helps build the management skills that are essential in today's increasingly complex and challenging environment.
In response to the growing demand to regulate and monitor aviation security (AVSEC) activity worldwide, AVSEC managers are required to perform more complex tasks and display greater communicative and management skills than in the past. They must also have a thorough understanding of the different standards and recommended practices (SARPs) that apply to the safeguarding of international civil aviation, particularly those contained in Annex 17 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation.
