The 40th Session of the ICAO Assembly in October 2019 requested the Council to explore the feasibility of a long-term global aspirational goal (LTAG) for international aviation, for consideration by its 41st Session (Resolution A40-18, paragraph 9).
In response to this request, the Council’s Committee on Aviation Environment Protection (CAEP) established the LTAG Task Group (LTAG-TG) in March 2020 to provide technical support in exploring the feasibility of a LTAG.
The LTAG report, as developed by CAEP, consolidates cumulative efforts of over 280 experts over nearly 2 years of intensive work.
The LTAG report is downloadable below, in all the 6 ICAO Languages. It presents the background, methodologies, results and interpretations of the LTAG analysis. For transparency and comprehensiveness, a set of Appendixes is also available to provide more detailed information on modelling approaches, methodologies, models, assumptions, and the results.
