An electronic voting system with all six official ICAO languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish) will be used at the 40th Session of the Assembly for the election of Member States to the Council. The election of Member States to Parts I and II is scheduled to occur during the Plenary session of Saturday, , while the election of Member States to Part III, is scheduled to occur during the Plenary session of Tuesday, 1 October 2019. It should also be noted that in accordance with the
Standing Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, manual voting using paper ballots has been retained as a fall-back option.
