This webinar will focus on the challenges and opportunities brought by Artificial Intelligence for international civil aviation. To pursue the discussions held at the 2024 ICAO Innovation Fair held from 12 to 14 March 2024, speakers from civil aviation authorities and from the aviation industry will share their insight and feedback on the topic. Audience: Innovators, regulators, the industry and the research community.

Dr. Scot Campbell, Project Executive of Airbus UTM – Acubed


Dr. Scot Campbell is the Project Executive of Airbus UTM at Acubed, a group focused on developing digital solutions to enable and accelerate the safe, secure, and scalable integration of increasingly digital aircraft into the global airspace. Before joining Acubed, Scot was the Senior Director of UTM Technology at AiRXOS, part of GE Aviation, and a member of the Technical Staff in the Air Traffic Control Systems group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. He holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and is a multi-engine commercial rated pilot and flight instructor.

Andres is a seasoned executive with a solid technical and entrepreneurial background, experienced in Tech, Retail, and Aviation industries. He has championed organizations through accelerated change by building scalable Data & AI capabilities, strong top-talent teams, and decentralized business-oriented strategies.

He currently holds the position of Chief Data Officer at LATAM Airlines Group, one of the most relevant Airlines in the world and the largest in Latin America, and leads its AI & Data transformation.

 

 

Mr. Abdulla Al-Asam, Standards & Compliance Officer (Tower) - Qatar Civil Aviation Authority

 

Mr. Abdulla Al-Asam is an Air Traffic Controller at Hamad International Airport with 12 years of tower experience. He participated in many developments contributing to the Tower and Qatar Airspace ongoing development and enhancement.
