Enhancing the efficiency of language services delivery
The number of staff translators who are also qualified as interpreters has increased, ensuring more efficiency and flexibility in addressing short-term fluctuations in the demand for interpretation services. Innovations in the search for, testing and selection of external collaborators have enhanced flexibility, especially in the lead-up to A40. This has been supported by innovations in management systems that were implemented in 2019, and resulted in enhanced efficiency, including the reduction of overtime hours.
Two-way Portuguese/English interpretation was provided by the Government of Brazil for the Plenary sessions of A40.
