Translation, interpretation and publication statistics
Under Languages and Publications (LP), 14.54 million words were translated, compared to 12.02 in 2015. Internal staff handled 54 per cent of translation workload and 46 per cent was outsourced. Interpretation was provided for 1 334 sittings, compared to 1 136 the previous year. The change from 2015 is attributed in part to activities related to the 39th Session of the ICAO Assembly. Production of saleable publications decreased by 2 per cent.
