Human Resources Policy
During the reporting year, the Council approved amendments to The ICAO Service Code in order to include the possibility for an exceptional six-month extension after completion of the second term for D-1 Regional Director, subject to the approval of the President of the Council. The Council also reviewed and approved amendments to the provisions contained in The ICAO Service Code related to the ethics framework. In addition, the Secretariat has completed the implementation of the revised International Professional Compensation Package, issued a new policy on prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse, consistent with ICAO’s obligations within the UN System, amended Staff Rules and Personnel Instructions on Performance and Competency Enhancement (PACE), and launched the development of ICAO’s first People Strategy.
