New Understanding with Quebec
On 14 November 2017, the Council considered the recommendation of the Committee on Relations with the Host Country (RHCC), to approve the new Understanding between the Government of Quebec and ICAO concerning the Immunities, Exemptions and Courtesy Privileges extended to the Organization, its Officials, to Member States and to Members of a Permanent Representation to the Organization, intended to supersede the current Understanding between ICAO and Quebec signed in 1994. It agreed that the President seek by correspondence the Representatives’ final approval for its signature by the Secretary General, which was completed on 19 December 2017.
