Airports and Air Navigation Services
The outcomes of the Sixth Joint Meeting of the Airport Economics Panel (AEP and the Air Navigation Services Economics Panel (AEP-ANSEP/6) held in May 2017 included: developing guidance on cost-benefit analysis, business case studies and economic impact analysis; updating of ICAO’s policies and guidance on airport economics and management; monitoring developments and serving an information-sharing platform for use of unmanned aircraft systems; and developing guidance to address issues related to non-economically viable airports (airport networks). In 2018, the Secretariat assisted the various working groups it created, and organized and coordinated the AEP Working Group on the revision of the Airport Economics Manual (Doc 9562).
