Human Resources Policy
In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Secretary General promulgated guidelines on Alternate Working Arrangements for ICAO personnel to telecommute during the activation of the ICAO Business Continuity Plan. Provisions in the guidelines were implemented across all duty stations with due regard to decisions taken by the host country and/or local governments as well as recommendations of UN Country Teams in compliance with the UN Security Management System.
In February 2020, ICAO launched the 2020 Global Engagement Survey, which was an important tool in achieving the vision of ICAO’s People Strategy. The survey was designed to measure staff engagement and satisfaction with different aspects of the work environment and to support the design of interventions and programmes to further improve the workplace and create an inclusive and enabling environment.
